Vinyl Record Club Mystery Box

Vinyl Record Club sends seven original vintage vinyl albums every month, packed in a sturdy cardboard box, and unlike many mystery boxes it lets you steer what arrives. At checkout you pick a music type, such as jazz, vocal, brass and strings, classic rock from the 1960s to 80s, or an all-genres mystery mix, and a condition grade: used with some wear, or pristine and mint. There are also two VIP boxes limited to Hall of Fame-level artists, one focused on soul, Motown, funk and disco and one on classic rock, at a much higher price. The seller restocks inventory weekly and says you can message them to request a particular era or sub-genre. Sample boxes on Cratejoy include a jazz and soul mix, a classic rock mix and a soundtracks and 80s mix. Your first seven records ship right away, and later boxes ship before the end of each month, with rush options available on request. Renewal is on the 11th, and you can cancel anytime. Prices vary widely by genre and condition, from the used jazz box at the low end to the VIP rock box at the top. It is a fun way for a new turntable owner to build a collection quickly or for a crate-digger to add volume.
