Music Library Box
Updated
A monthly children's book about music, plus instruments, crafts and activities
Music Library Box uses children's books about music to introduce young readers to different styles of music and the musicians behind them, from Beethoven to Bob Marley and everyone in between. The goal is to build a lifelong love of both music and reading. Each month brings a new music-themed children's book along with engaging activities to go with it, such as instruments, crafts and games. Subscribers also get access to online resources that aren't available anywhere else. The box works for pre-readers, new and independent readers, and the adults who read to them. Past boxes show how hands-on it gets: - **Wild Symphony:** Dan Brown's best-selling picture book, a modern Carnival of the Animals, with finger puppets, a tambourine, a hand drum and coloring bingo cards to use while listening to the music Brown composed for the book - **The Good Song:** inspired by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World," with a game of Hawaiian checkers (kōnane), a paper flower lei and a mini ukulele - **Drum Dream Girl:** the story of a girl determined to drum Orders received by the 5th ship that month from the United States; later orders ship the following month, around the 20th if the current box sells out. US shipping, tracking and insurance are included. You can pay monthly or prepay 3 months. It's a great gift for little ones who dance to everything.
